Indic Digital Archive Foundation (IDAF) and Malayalam Mission Karnataka Chapter cordially invite you to the event of Inauguration of IDAF- Malayalam Mission collaboration and honoring Njattyela Sreedharan & E K Kurup. The event is scheduled for April 7, Sunday, 2:30 PM at Bangalore International Centre, Domlur.
Indic Digital Archive Foundation is initiating some major projects and collaboration during this event. Malayalam Mission Karnataka chapter also has some programs that will be part of this event.
Following are the details of the planned programs:
Honoring Njattyela Sreedharan and E K Kurup
Njattyela Sreedharan is the author of the Four Language Dravidian Dictionary in Malayalam-Kannada-Tamil-Telugu. E K Kurup is the author of English-Malayalam Thesaurus that contains more than 10 lakh words. Both these veterans will be honored during the event.
Announcement of integrating E K Kurup dictionary to Olam
E K Kurup, through his 20 years of hard work, has created a great English-Malayalam dictionary that contains more than 10 lakh words. This dictionary is getting integrated to Olam Nighandu. People who use Olam Nighandu will benefit from this since they will now have more entries to search for.
Inauguration of Samam and the release of manuscript scans
The online version of Njattyela Sreedharan’s Four Language Dravidian Dictionary is named as Samam. This site will be inaugurated during the event.
The handwritten manuscripts that Njattyela Sreedharan prepared for his work on 4 language Dravidian dictionary are digitized now. The scan of these digitized manuscripts will be released during this event.
Announcement of collaboration with Malayalam Mission Karnataka chapter for the proofreading project
A collaboration project is planned between Indic Digital Archive Foundation and Malayalam Mission Karnataka Chapter to proofread the contents of the 4 language Dravidian dictionary. Announcement and details of this collaboration project will be announced during the event.
Malayalam Mission Karnataka chapter programs
Malayalam Mission Karnataka chapter has conducted Story telling and Monoact competition during 2024 January-February month. The children who won the prizes for the competition will be felicitated during the event.
Famous Literature, culture, and language computing personalities like Sudhakaran Ramanthali, K.K. Gangadharan, Santhosh Thottingal, Dr. Vinod T.P., Damodharan K etc will be participating in this event. We cordially invite you to this program and expecting your personal presence.
